This piece happened after a trip to SA. It was my first time there and Simon surprised me with a trip to Victor Harbour. He thought I might find the coastline inspirational. What neither of us reasised was that there would be a wonderful team of horses and humans gearing up for the only horse drawn tram in Australia. Wow! How exciting it was. Barney was just lovely. So gentle. The gulls were milling about like a reckless gaggle elsewhere, and I thought it would be nice to include them as they were hilarious and had so much character. The gull flying past him actually happened to my delight. I really hope you enjoy this piece. It is particularly special to me.
